The BBX2 Boomerang Flash Bracket quickly and easily rotates your speedlight/flash above the lens into preferred shooting orientation! It’s unobtrusive design, smooth action and precision operation make it a joy to use.

Positioning the flash above the lens eliminates shadows and Red-Eye, greatly improving the lighting quality in your photographs. Improving images “in camera” will reduce post processing time, saving hours of potential retouching. It’s the perfect camera accessory for fast paced situations like weddings and events.

The BBX2 has been designed to fit and adjust to all types of cameras with or without vertical grips (battery packs, etc). It fits standard DSLR’s like Canon 5D, Nikon D850 or similar and may be adjusted for use with taller / larger cameras such as the 1Dx and Nikon D5 and cameras with optional Battery Grips. The BBX2 can even adjust to fits smaller micro 4/3 bodies and Mirrorless Cameras like the Sony A7, Panasonic G5 / G9, Fuji and Olympus. The BBX2 Adjustable Height Mechanism allows for fine tuning of the flash arm location to fit these various camera sizes.

The Boomerang places the flash away from the hot shoe, allowing unrestricted access for a wireless controller / transmitter. The flash plate is capable of mounting wired and wireless speedlights, battery powered Flash Heads and so much more.

The Boomerang Flash Bracket is built around our Arca Compatible Camera Mounting Plate aka: Bracket Plate. It connects via two screws to the base plate (PBX3 is universal type camera base plate, or you can purchase additional optional plates).

Additionally, accessories such as: L-brackets, Handles, Port Protectors and other Adapters may be attached to our Bracket Plate system without blocking the Arca Compatible Base. These accessories provide the ability to add other gear such as microphones, monitors and triggers with ease to better fit your shooting style. First-rate product, especially with a third-party accessory

I purchased this bracket with the Arca-Swiss clamp option because I already had a Really Right Stuff L-plate for my camera. It fit just fine. This bracket does exactly what it's supposed to do, and is beautifully designed and made. Just two comments: 1) There's a little black plastic knob on the back of the bracket that secures the bracket to the clamp that attaches the bracket to the camera. This knob extends a little in back of the camera, where it gets closer than I would like to my nose when I am using the camera. This is probably because Ieft-eyed; I doubt that right-eyed photographers would have any problem at all. It doesn't interfere at all with my use of the camera, but I do wish it protruded less. I think the bracket deserves a five-star rating anyway. 2) If you are using Nikon speedlights, you will need a cable to connect the speedlight to your camera. The cable that Nikon sells for this purpose is model SC-29. It's coiled; but when uncoiled, it's 9 feet long. That means that even when coiled, it's long enough to get in the way of everything. The solution that I found to this problem is to buy a shortened SC-29 cord. There's an outfit called Paramount Cords that buys these cords and shortens them. They're expensive, but it's an enormous difference in convenience. Definitely recommended to Nikon users.

I've admired the aesthetics and build quality of this bracket since seeing one at the PPA Imaging USA show earlier this year. After purchasing the Profoto B2 lights I realized I had to have it, and I love it. The bracket, with the optional B2 adapter, worked very well at keeping my light properly positioned whether I was shooting in portrait or landscape mode. I am happy to have it in my collection of "must have" accessories, and finally have a flash bracket that feels substantial enough to secure my expensive lights.

I am Going to try to articulate what a fine crafted instrument this is. We have the RRS “wedding” flash bracket it is still uncomfortable to rotate from vertical-horizontal poisition with the little buttons that you must puch to allow rotation of the bracket. Long story short it works . Now this is what did the with our new boomerang bracket. I really like the way that the RRS makes a screw clamp that allows the Nikon strobe head to quikley attach to an arca type rail. I used a very short Arca universal type rail that I had and attached it to the strobe platform on to the flash platform. It works excellent. I can disconnect the flash from the Boomerang in just seconds. As all of you already know, Pro Media Greer is the best thing on the professional photographic market.

This flash bracket is a game changer. My context is that of a semi-pro photographer making the move to becoming a full-time professional; and with that, I am moving up to pro level gear. I did a lot of research before purchasing a flash bracket, looking for one that: 1) would work simply and flawlessly every time I needed it to; 2) would hold up over time and not fall apart after a couple of years; 3) and would look good with my camera on it and not chunky or old. That's when I found the BBX Boomerang flash bracket. Price-wise, it was more than a piece of gear that I could just order without wise budget planning, so I added it to my "to get" priority list. When its time came at the top of the list, I ordered it. When it arrived, I put it to use right away, and it is making all huge difference. It is very simple and very quick, and is a piece of quality gear that I will own for a long time.

Exceptional quality and craftsmanship. Easy to use and intuitive, although assembling the parts was tricky. A simple Google search for the video helped. Comes with a metal Cold Shoe Adapter, Allen key wrenches and Arca Swiss compatible bracket plate for Nikon D850. The flash bracket's finish is beautiful and mechanisms are fully functional. It's lightweight yet strong as my light stays up and properly positioned. I also like that you can fold it down to a compact size for storage/travel and the hidden magnetic compartment to store the included Allen key wrench is a plus. The lever on the locking arm is intuitive and works as expected in horizontal or vertical orientation. I recommend you get a plate specific to your camera for a perfect fit & to eliminate twisting. This flash bracket is ideal when shooting events and/or when using strobes & light stands aren't feasible. This rig will be my go-to bracket when using a Speedlight or LED video light. Recommended.
