Description:

The #GKJr. Katana Jr. Pro Gimbal Head was created to provide the ultimate marriage between size, weight and functionality. The Katana Pro is able to support any lens, yet is portable enough to be backpacked through the jungle at just 2.40 lbs! The truss design manufactured out of rigid T6061 Aluminum required the PMG team of engineers to program the CNC machines to their limits. The Gimbal features an independent Pan and Tilt knob large enough to be handled with gloved hands. An Arca Compatible cradle clamp nestles your camera plate or long lens mount with precision and security. The fluid type movements will allow you to quickly control your camera and lens combo as if it were an extension of your body. The bottom of the Katana Jr. is a standard 3/8-16 threaded tripod adapter. Treat yourself to one of the smoothest and lightest gimbals on the market today!

The Katana Pro is manufactured out of hard anodized, scratch-resistant 6061 aluminum alloy and CNC precision machined in the USA. Designed with precision sealed, maintenance free, bearings for long life and durability to enable the heads smooth movements.

Made in the USA by photographers for photographers! We pride ourselves in being experienced photography professionals and design gear we would use. There's nothing more important than our customers' satisfaction. So, What Are You Still Waiting For? Order Your Own Premium PMG Pro-Stix Carbon Fiber Tripod Today!

wow
extremely happy with the build and customer service. since this is my first gimbal tony went through how it worked. the build quality of this gimbal is top rate. i work in heavy industry and am used to dealing with quality machine work and the work on this is some of the best i have seen. i do not know what brand of bearings they use. but they spin as effortlessly as the ones in my racing inline skates. cant wait to carry this out to the field and on my up coming trip to colombia. thanks tony

Thanks to you for a beautifully designed, well finished and functional piece of kit. I received this last Tuesday, and have been using it on my back deck-easy to set up, flawlessly smooth and rock solid with my300mm 2.8, and 200-500mm 5.6. Can't wait to get out in the field with it.

Absolutely love this gimbal. Had been searching for a gimbal head and was leaning towards a Wimberly when I came across ProMediaGear. Called them directly and after a few conversations with Tom was convinced this was the one for me. I have been using it for about a month (mostly BIF) and have no doubt I made the correct decision. Don't be dissuaded but the "junior" name. I use it with the Sony A7Riv and the 200-600 zoom with or without the 1.4 tele and it is rock stable. Easy to set up and beautifully smooth. Absolutely top end materials and construction. Great customer service and very quick shipping. It comes in black but the red looks great. Less expensive than the WImberly and it includes a plate as well

More than happy
Received my new gimbal head three days after ordering. Stunning addition to my kit. The head is a dream and has already been used photographing puffins and gannets on the Yorkshire Coast. Smooth and do steady.

This gimbal is really great for big lens. Used it with my Canon 600mm F/4 lens for surfing photography. Real smooth panning and easy light to carry. I recommend this gimbal.

Holding almost an 8lb camera and trying to photograph birds high up in a tree is extremely difficult ending up with hundreds of useless pictures. That was until I bought this very well engineered Gimbal Head. It is nothing short of being fantastic allowing me to capture birds effortlessly. The attached files are of a Phainopepla, a flycatcher noted for its red eye. I have processed this as both color and monochromatic. This was taken using Canon EOS 5DS-r camera + 200-400 lens mounted on my new ProMedia Red Katana Gimbal Head. If you too photograph birds or other wild animals then you must buy this Gimbal. You will not be disappointed.
