Universal DSLR and Lens (Telephoto) Mounting Plate, fits Canon, Nikon, Sony, Leica, Panasonic, etc Even Video Gear.
This is a ProMediaGear Universal Bracket Plate. It will fit the Boomerang flash bracket and the Guillotine flash bracket as well as video gear. This plate offers exceptional fit and security. By using only a slightly protruding hard rubber cord for anti-rotation, we ensure that the plate rests directly on the camera eliminating any play or "mushiness".

Versatile Bracket
Purchased this for my Nikon D3300, which I started using for an ultra light video rig to capture B-Roll footage and it has work brilliantly. It holds the camera tight without excessive force and allows me to pop it in & out of its rig for different applications. I have started just leaving it attached to the camera as I know I will be mounting anyway.

The plate fits my new (critically panned but quite good) Canon 6D Mark II to my existing Boomerang bracket (one of two) perfectly, which is everything I have come to expect from ProMedia Gear's line of goods. I am a cranky old bastard, but try as I might, I have found nothing to complain about with PMG's products. I have owned two Boomerang brackets for several years and they remain in excellent condition and work perfectly after many a rough wedding or other gig. I only wish I held up as well after all of these gigs....

PBX3-BD-QR Universal Bracket Plate
I'm not really happy with this plate. I'm using this on a Nikon Df with the Boomerang flash bracket without grip. The connection between the flash bracket and plate is very tight, requiring quite of bit of force to mate bracket with plate, and an insertion of a small screwdriver blade to force the two apart. Would have been nice if the plate allowed the use of captive thumb screw to attach plate to camera, as the flash bracket without a grip has no place to store an allen wrench like the flash bracket with grip does (I have both).

Better late than never
Excellent quality but not universal, not possible to access batt comp. without removing it on T4i for example. I ordered this during the xmas rush and it went astray, a replacement was shipped.

Having multiple lenses and cameras without arca plates I was constantly changing plates to accommodate either a strap or tripod mount. These universal brackets eliminate that need and work perfectly for both applications,no more unscrewing swivels,a simple push of the button and the change is made. As a result I ordered an additional combo and 4 more plates. As usual the quality and function of the product is above anything the competition has to offer.

It is having very good grip to the camera. Do not rotate when you put your camera in portrait mode with the bigger lenses. This is really good quality. It has very strong secure with the Shoulder Sling Strap with Quick Connect.

Perfect on Sony A7 riii
I was going to just wait and buy the sony battery grip and L bracket for the A7Riii but 1) they were sold out of the a7riii L brackets and 2) My wallet is still smarting from the A7riii purchase so I thought I would give the PBX3 Universal Bracket Plate a try. Worked perfectly, does not interfere with battery door. Great snug fit

The Bracket plate is a part of the boomerang flash bracket system and is required for the operation of the system. In my option this is the best professionally made equipment for photographers who have demanding needs. It is obvious that all of PMG has been designed by engineering from experienced professionals that know and understand the photographic industry. There is nothing on today’s professional market that can even come close to the benefits of owning this equipment.

Bought the strap with plunger and universal pbx3.and several adapters for older promedia brackets i had..everything works as advertised..I am really impressed with the strength of the plunger system..just bought a d750..the first thing I did was order a matching promedia bracket..makes everything really easy switching the system between the cameras!

This is the universal adapter it can be used on any camera I highly recommend this item if you're going to be using multiple cameras like Nikon canon and others this can also be attached to the gimbal head that they make my words exactly if you want to best you go to the people who make the best ProMedia gear I want to give a special thank you to Betty and their entire staff without them they would've never made this photography shoot possible this is the product that you cannot go without it is that versatile I've been into photography since I was 14 and I'm 60 take it from me don't be afraid to ask questions the Boomarang and the universal plate are the perfect match for each other and you do not have to worry if you want to share it with a different camera

This was purchase to mate with the SS2P3 SS2P3 Retrofit Quick Release Plug Adapter for 1 inch Strap. Works securely, of course. I have never been disappointed by any of PMG's products.

Really Great
For the price, and the number of features built into the bracket, really worth it. It's not just an aluminum block, side holes I think can be used to make it an L bracket. The steel(?) insert, looks like it works with the strap quick release item. Really cool.

Pretty much perfect
Bought 4 of these for all my different cameras, fits perfectly on the Fuji GFX 100/50s and the Fuji X-T3. Allowing for battery changing on each body. Solid workmanship and design, the SS2 strap is a game changer for me. Couldn’t be happier. Great staff to deal with as well, answered all my questions and more.

Love ProMediaGear ! Quality is first thing you think. I love my flash bracket and my flash photography has been greatly improved. If I could have one wish, it would be that the plate did not cover my battery door on my Nikon D750.

Simple but great item! I purchased it for the bottom of my Canon 6D Mark II with a battery grip and it works perfectly. Snug fit, and no creeping!!! I also have one on the bottom of my 70-200mm Canon lens and works well there, too!! Good quality item. Just go for it!!

The bottom of the PBX3 Bracket Plates have a 1/4-20 threaded adapter hole that will allow you to screw in the BR adapter. PMG also manufactures a great product to get the Black Rapid Adapter back and out of the way enough to not have to remove to use the Arca-Style Bracket Plate on many ball heads. The PASL3 will bolt onto the PMG Bracket Plate and allow easy access to both the BR strap clip and the Arca Bracket Plate.
There isn't enough room under the plate to recess the BR adapter.

PBX3 for cameras without Grip when used with Flash Brackets Quick Rlease system has to have two prongs (external QR system).
PBX3 for cameras with Grip, doesn't have prongs as the Flash Bracket Quick Release system goes into the plate (internal)
You can use PBX3 on both actually, the difference is that yo u have to decide which Type of Flash Bracket you would use more as actually both will fit but won't work optimally in setups they weren't designed for. We actually have a document about it, please contact us.

Can this universal plate fit into an arca-swiss tripod? I use the meFOTO RoadTrip currently with a JOBY (arca-swiss compatible) Ultra Plate. I'm not committed to that plate, I just use it because it works with the tripod.

Hi, I recently bought a BBX-QR-PBX3BD with the PBX3 universal plate. There are two screws in the base plate (I think they are referred to as "Stop Screws") that are hindering the quick release plate for my tripod. What are the implications of removing them so the tripod QR plate mounts flush to your base plate? I want to leave the Pro Media Gear plate on my camera permanently. The pins next to the stop screws seem secure whether the stop screws are in or not.

As you correctly refer to them as stop screws they hinder the release from the plate so that the plate does not slide out accidentally. If you have a tripod head that needs the plates to slide in you have to remove them otherwise it’s hard or impossible to put the plate in. I would recommend to only remove the screw only from one side so that the other screw can still do its job, just in case.
