This ProMediaGear plate is custom made specifically for Canon 5D mark II body without grip/battery pack. Since the plate is custom designed it fits like a glove perfectly matching the camera shape. It also provides anti-rotation so that the plate doesn't slip or twist. Most of our users leave it on camera at all times and use with their Arca-Swiss type ball heads. It also features an optional removable strap loop that can be removed if desired.

This is a very good product considering the price. There are many players coming into this space which has been dominated by 2 family owned companies. Plenty of lower price alternatives from Asia but promediagear's product is consistent with US companies standard at introductory prices. I highly recommend this product for anyone interested in saving money and not willing to compromise on quality.

solid and quailty

This plate fits canon's 5d mkll and with it's anti-rotation pin makes it impossible to twist.This plate is very useful for vertical mounting of a heavy L lens.The plate mounts with Arca type mounting.The quality is there and it looks great at a reasonable price.
