This ProMediaGear plate is custom made specifically for Canon 7D with BG-E7 grip/battery pack. Since the plate is custom designed it fits like a glove perfectly matching the camera shape. It also provides anti-rotation so that the plate doesn't slip or twist. Most of our users leave it on camera at all times and use with their Arca-Swiss type ball heads. It also features an optional removable strap loop that can be removed if desired.

Great Product

Much better product than I expected. VERY WELL finished, fits perfectly on my 7D & BG-E7. Low profile lets me just leave it on the camera. Now make an L Bracket for the 7D & Grip! I'll buy it!

QR plate for 7D

This is a well made QR plate. It fits my Canon 7D with battery grip perfectly. I bought two, one for each Camera. If you made a L bracket for the 7D with battery grip I would have bought one of those too!

The PCBGE7 Canon 7D BG-E7 Plate Arca-Swiss Type is a lifesaver! I shoot raw video on the Canon 7D via Magic Lantern firmware add-on. This plate is now used under my battery grip to re-align the 1/4" female thread. This makes it easier to use with 15mm rods and my matte box. What was best about this was I had a limited amount of money, and ProMediaGear had this product discounted. I am very grateful for this. The build quality is top notch, and I have no worries this product will last a very long time. I was really happy with the option to remove the silver slits/small holes on the left and right side, since I didn't need these for filming. Again, I am really happy with this product, and cannot ask for more! ProMediaGear rocks! - Paul Harwood

I had been looking for an Arca-Swiss plate for my Canon 7D, with attached Battery Grip, for quite a while and finally came across just what I needed (PCBGE7) from ProMediaGear. When I received the item I was very impressed with the component quality, superb finish, and precision machining, every bit as good as Kirk and Really Right Stuff. The packaging was also exceptional and I received the product in a timely fashion. A very professional catalog was included and I already intend to purchase several items based on what was published in that superb catalog. The website is also well constructed and helpful. ProMediaGear is a quality resource and more purchases by me will come their way, soon.
