Exceptional quality & craftsmanship. The PLNZ67 is a customized fit to my Nikon Z 6 body, which eliminates twisting & allows quick orientation from horizontal to vertical positioning on my Arca-Swiss compatible ball head attached to a tripod. It's lightweight yet strong and fits my Nikon Z 6 and ball head perfectly. You can even attach ProMediaGear's BBX Boomerang Flash Bracket to the bottom plate, which is great so I now I can swap the Boomerang between this body and my Nikon D850 (which also is attached to a ProMediaGear plate). The bottom of the plate offers a port for PMG's Quick Release Plug (much better than the QD Connect system. It's secure & operation is smooth and positive and will use it with my Hold Fast Gear straps) and there's a built-in slot for magnetic storage of the supplied Allen wrench. The PLNZ67's vertical bracket allows clear access to port doors on the left, as well as protect any cables or adapters attached to them. It even protects my Nikon WR-R10 adapter when inserted in the bottom DC2 port. You can even slide the "L" out if you need more room for thick tethered cables. I can also confirm that this L-Bracket does NOT interfere with the FTZ adapter mounted on the body. You can remove the FTZ without first removing the camera from the tripod. You can also attach the L-Bracket to the FTZ, if desired. Access to battery compartment is also confirmed. This L-Bracket's finish is beautiful, mechanisms are fully functional, a perfect right angle bracket and very sturdy in use during my night cityscapes. In my opinion, this is the best premium L-Bracket yet made for the Nikon Z 6 / Z 7. Recommended.

I own an RRS L-bracket for my Z7 but prefer this one instead. This bracket is extremely flexible in design and built like a tank. Unlike the other brackets I've seen, this one elevates the camera just high enough so that when the camera is horizontal (in landscape position) the FTZ adapter is free to fully rotate - it clears the tripod head's Arca clamp when rotated for installation and removal. With many brackets, the camera sits so low on the tripod head's Arca clamp that the FTZ hits the clamp and cannot fully rotate for installation or removal. Another great feature of this bracket is the ability to extend it out from the connectors/terminals area. I find that I can leave my Nikon WR-R10 wireless receiver plugged into the terminal jack constantly, so I can control my Z7 wirelessly without any hassle at all. The plate is solid even while extended out, as long as you tighten down the bottom bolts securely. I also really appreciate the 1/4-20 threads on the side and the spare hex wrench that's held in place with a magnet. Being the "Cadillac" of L-brackets does come with a modest weight penalty, and I wish the painted centering and mm markings were thicker and brighter (I can't see them to align to the tripod head in dim light), but these are not deal-breakers if the unique features fill important needs such as mine. I am truly glad that PMG exists to create such well thought out and unique gear so I can focus on my art instead of fiddling with my support gear when in the field (especially when it's well below freezing).

Over all it seems to be a high quality product; the only downside I see is the difference of around 1 mm between the axes of landscape and portrait position. This difference was identified by an expert who configured my panoramic system. Depending on the panoramic motif you shoot, deviation from the nodal point can effect the result. Arca-Swiss compatibility: it fits, but not perfectly the expert said to me. If you buy the related Cold Shoe you'll be good advised to buy the anti rotation pins too. Regrettably I did not. Anyhow, I'm sure I'm going to take good photographs with it. Whoever buys from Europe should not forget that the import tax makes the purchase considerably more expensive.

Excellent, solid, custom fit and finish to the Nikon Z6 body. Love the fact that it can be used on the Z6 body and easily moved to the FTZ adapter too. No issues with interference with the various ports or buttons...just loosen two hex head screws on the bottom of the plate and move the vertical plate out of the way. The allen key is secured in the vertical plate and held captive by a magnet and is visible at all times. The QD mount feature has positive and solid engagement to the bracket too with 4 ball bearing detents. I chose this L-Plate over the Smallrig, Kirk, and Really Right Stuff solutions.

I previously purchased similar brackets for my D-810 cameras. The design of the bracket mounts firmly and quickly to the tripod. The camera remains solid in the mount whether it is landscape or portrait. The sliding side mount allows easy access to the ports on the side of the camera. The additional flash bracket is perfect for event photography. The flash bracket fastens securely to the flash bracket making it a one piece unit that can be handheld or tripod mounted that gives fully flexibility for your flash.
