This is a ProMediaGear  Universal quick release DSLR and lens plate. It was specifically designed for the cameras that do not have custom mounting plates such as  (Olympus, Sony, Pentax, Canon, Nikon, Leica, Panasonic etc and even video gear.)

Our quick release plate offers exceptional fit and security.  By using only a slightly protruding hard rubber cord for anti-rotation, we ensure that the plate rests directly on the camera eliminating any play or "mushiness".

It features strap loops that are built-in to the plate. It also provides safety stop screws which prevent the camera from sliding out in either direction.

Weight: 1.5 oz. (45grams)
100% made, designed and assembled in the USA

Features:
  • Three (3) 1/4-20 mounting holes for direct mounting to tripods, mono-pads, etc.
  • Safety stops (ensure the plate doesn't slip out when clamp is loosened accidentally)
  • Machined aircraft quality aluminum construction
  • Hard black anodized surface coating and wear resistant finish

Items Included:

  • Plate
  • Strap loop
  • Allen wrench
  • Captive screw for mounting the plate

Dimensions:

  • .38  X 1.50 x 3.0 inches

Application:

The plate will fit virtually all SLR camera bodies and will mount to all ProMediaGear, Really Right Stuff, Arca-Swiss, Markins, Kirk, Jobu Design or any other standard Arca Swiss clamps.

Great value, impeccable quality, highly recommended
I bought one of these plates and just ordered 3 more. Ordering a new plate each time I buy a new body is a small chore since I buy 1-3 bodies a year. These universal plates are a great alternative while I wait for the specific body plate to be built. The disadvantage of these plates is that they may block the battery cover and don't have specific anti rotation pins for a specific body. The red rubber on the bottom works well though and how often do you have to change a battery? Bring your allen key with you on a shoot and you're good to go. The advantage of the universal plate is that they fit any body and work well. Machining is first rate.

Top notch
Great customer service and solid plate. I will only be utilizing these going forward! No need for a specific camera mount as this is rock solid in my RRS monopod head and QR clamp.

PX3 was perfect solution
Using this as a lens plate (very heavy, large 67 Takumar 400mm f4) along with PMG Arca clamp. The extra holes allowed me to "pin" plate to prevent rotation, even though rubber strips do great job keeping this big rig secure. And the included Wiha hex keys are likewise top-quality. RRS has nothing on these guys!

The best plate that I have purchased. Especially happy with the rubber inserts on the bottom of the plate. Really hold from turning and becoming loose.Bought two of the plates used one on a lens and one on a camera body works well on both. Would recommend to other customers. Tony

3 inch plate
I have found this universal plate to be just what I needed. Well built and made more secure (anti-twisting) with the red rubber inserts. Machining quality is top notch. I ordered two, in fact.

Juat Great!
ProMediaGear nailed the plates. This a solid, well machined universal plate that rivals RRS. Well Done!

I purchased three of the PX3 Universal Plates (3 inches long) for my long Canon zoom lenses so I could use them with my Katana Gimbal. The plates work great but I did remove the strap loops from both ends to make the plates easier to use. The rubber grip strips on the plates keep the lenses from turning sideways. These plates are well constructed and much cheaper than I found at other locations. I like my ProMedia Gear!

Truly Universal Plate...
I have been replacing most of my Arca plates with the PMG Universals, both for camera use and as lens plates.

This plate is by far the most well thought out piece of equipment I own. The overall build quality is amazing even down to where the placement of the 1/4 20 mounting holes. When it first was put on the camera, the plate did not move at all and the rubber rails provided very good gripping force. I am looking forward to using this place in conjunction with the strap plates. You'll replace your camera before you replace this plate.

Unversal plate 3" long
I purchased this plate as an alternative to camera specific plates, which I have bought up until now. This plate is wide which I like, and the rubber strips prevent camera rotation. The plate is light, well made and very reasonably priced. A terrific value!

The universal plate works as designed and it is beautifully finshed. It sits steadfast on the body without any rotation and the strap eyelet allows me to use the handstrap on my body. It also works as a lensplate for a short zoomlens, such as the 70-200mm.

Every bit as good or BETTER than the "other guys", RRS Kirk etc. I like the silicone inserts. A nice touch that allows precise setting. I will return as ny needs grow. Aside from a great product the communication before the sale was stellar. A number of emails went back and forth and were actually read and personalized... not form letters or FAQs. Thanks PMG! Go USA!

A quality product
I replaced similar plates from a different manufacturer with these primarily because I was buying a ProMediaGear L bracket and clamp system. Like those products, the plates are well made and anodized. There's not much else to say about a simple plate. They work as expected and hold my lenses on the tripod securely. I like having the option to keep or remove the strap loops (I took them off).

Really nice plate
This is the second Universal Plate I've purchased from ProMediaGear. They are lightweight, but well made. I like that they have the threaded holes so that I can use with my Cotton Carrier hubs or Custom SLR C-Loops.

WOW...this is by far the best plate I own. It's design and manufacturing quality is fabulous. I own many other name brand plates, but this is superior to them all. I love the rubber rails at the bottom of the plate which prevents any movement of the lens as well as protects the bottom of the foot from any scratches. Buy it...you won't regret it!

Mr
Stuff that can be improved: - The loop screws act as stops, but get in the way on some clamps. Being able to screw them from one side of the plate if one wants them to act as stops, or sunk in a deeper hole, if one wants to keep the loops but not have the screws in the way. - There was glue residue on the rubber rails. No big deal. - A larger cavity with a d-ring screw option would be nice. The good stuff: - Just beautiful. - The included Allen wrenches are chrome vanadium, Made in Germany!

Great Customer Service, Great Product
The plate is just as the company claims and to say the least, it's great. It does it's job and has a number of useful features. I've been searching around for a plate for my Oly E-5 but the dedicated one produced for the system from RRS is discontinued. Then I found ProMediaGear, got an L-plate, but they recently changed their design so the bottom plate is different from the picture and didn't fit my system perfectly. Contacted the company, they offered to do an exchanged for the older model but I decided to just buy the older model bottom plate and keep the new design for another camera. When the bottom plate came in, the package was missing the mounting screw; contacted them again, it was shipping right away. Communication was quick and service was top-notch. A big thank you for Tom and Beata who were more than helpful.

Great Plate
This is a really nice plate and it fits my RRS Lever Clamp perfectly. I like that the end loops are removable too. Machining and fit/finish are first rate but a bit 'glossy' compared to RRS's normal mostly matte finish. The company has been a pleasure to deal with and the wrenches they include are top of the line german Wiha brand, not some garbage that will strip out. If I had to make some suggestions, it'd be to put the PMG logo on the front & back for shameless self-promotion ;) and include spare pieces of the red rubber material. I honestly doubt I'd need them but it'd be a nice touch as it is rubber and has a finite lifetime under compression.

This plate works great for a camera or lens. Stable enough for a 1D Mark IV. The rubber strips eliminate the possibility of slippage.

Universal Arca plate
Of course I like the plate, it is of the same high quality as all other PMG stuff, that's why I ordered it in the first place. One can't go wrong with PMG ( if one values quality). I do, so I will be coming back, if a need for some good stuff arrives!!

Fits perfectly with my Canon 5DIV and Herringbone leather hand strap with room to access the battery compartment. The rubber gasket on the contact side really helps to keep the PX3 in place. Very happy with my purchase.

Amazing build, quality and design
The first thing I noticed about this place was it's design. It's just your basic run of the mill plate, and if you're aesthete like me you'll agree that design matters. Aside from that, I love the way it fits my lens and tripod head. I no longer have to struggle with of the ill-fitting issues I was having with my lens foot, battery grip and tripod head. It used to be a very tight fit, but this plate fixed that problem.
