So do you need a monopod to make you a better photographer? YOUR DAMN RIGHT YOU DO! Currently you can't get better than the TR42 series.... talk about strong? You bet! If you weren't using it for photography you could go jousting with it! Easy to operate? Absolutely a snap! The metal lock rings are the best I've ever seen. Great seals to keep things clean and have great feel at the point of engagement! Available in different configurations? Certainly, ck them all out. Any minuses? I wish the metal spike in the foot was available in longer lengths and they offered a rock claw option as well. But those are more accessory item issues. This is an amazing monopod and I'd definitely buy another one.
