Title

All of my tripods were arca swiss, my manfroto befree had a 501 plate with a arca swiss attached on top of it... this product is Exactly what i wanted.

A Perfect Solution

After adding video to my still photography, quick release became problematic. Adapting arcs-swiss type QR to a Manfrotto video tripod made QR cumbersome and unquick. Then I found this Pro Media Gear solution in a PM501. I couldn’t be happier! Get one for every video support you have! I now have two; one for the video tripod and another for the video monopod because I carry them in separate tripod bags and never wanna to be without my special QR.

While the postage costs to Australia are not for those with a weak stomach, the PM501 Manfrotto to Arca-Swiss clamp really does fill a gap in the market. The PM501 is beautifully designed and has been executed with exceptional quality. It's the single piece of kit that has allowed me to seamlessly shoot both stills and video on fluid video head (for stills, vertical compositions become possible when the PM501 is combined with an Arca-Swiss type L-bracket). Liberating stuff! Power to ProMediaGear for their design and execution of the PM501.

Versatile Video Plate

I previously used a few different plates with my 502 fluid head, depending on whether I was using a DSLR or a Camcorder, but now I use only the PMG plate. It's easier to keep an arca-type plate on a camcorder.

Cinematographer

As a hybrid cinematographer/photographer I regularly go from shooting video to stills and love the convenience of this plate. It is so much easier and my cameras balance out much better than having to constantly take plates on and off. I have Three of these and I highly recommend them!

Perfect

Fits perfectly in a Manfrotto 502 head. I much prefer using Arca Swiss QR plates on DSLR style cameras and this is a much cleaner solution than jury rigging an Arca clamp onto a Manfrotto plate. Highly recommended.

Perfect

This is a perfect replacement and addition of arca-swiss plate for my older Manfrotto video head- and it even works on the newer 608 Nitrotech that uses the long plate - but I will be getting the long version (PM501L) for that head. All edges are beveled and smooth- solid metal machining. Works perfectly and saves a lot of time.

Fantastic must-have plate if you shoot mirrorless or DSLR video and want Arca Swiss! This plate fixes SO many issues with using a standard LONG plate on the Manfrotto video heads. PERFECT!

Perfect Solution

I have been looking all over for a plate that would allow me to mount my arca swiss bracket to my manfrotto and ronin. Finally I stumbled on this and it has solved all my problems. Now I have such a seamless workflow.

A: Yes, the 502 head uses the same type of plate as the 501.

Q: will this adapter fit a manfrotto 410 geared head?

A: The plate is only Compatible with 501PL / RC3 / RC5 / NG Heads, it will not fit the 410 gear head as that has a top loading plate. This is only for the video sliding plates.

A: The PM501 works well with the Ronin-S and creates a perpendicular Arca Compatible Clamp.
